The govmates consortium is an ecosystem of over 3,000 non-traditional defense contractors, industry partners, academic institutions and government stakeholders. Our members represent multiple technology verticals and past performance in both the federal and commercial sectors.
With our technology scouting platform and diverse membership, we provide an enterprise level solution to rapidly identify, develop and transition technologies for the Federal Government.
With our extensive reach and diverse membership, we provide an enterprise level solution to identify, develop and transition technologies for the Federal Government.
Since inception, Govmates has facilitated nearly 25,000 matches for Federal Government customers and industry partners in support of market research, non-traditional outreach and teaming opportunities.
The govmates matchmaking technology enables federal stakeholders to rapidly identify desired technologies and solutions. Utilizing algorithms and relevance scoring, we take a formulaic and methodical approach to solving the problems of the U.S. Federal Government.
We understand the resources, assets and capital needed to operate a government contracting firm. More importantly, we provide these resources to our members to help them build a compliant firm so they can pursue traditional FAR-based federal contracts post-OTA award.
Govmates serves as the bridge between Government and Industry – we maintain deep industry ties with thousands of non-traditional contractors, large systems integrators, defense primes and commercial enterprises. Furthermore, we foster an environment of collaboration and teaming. We understand the importance of a sense of community and have built an ecosystem that encourages our members to network and collaborate with each other to pursue federal work.
We take a customized approach to problem solving. From requirements definition, to solicitation of industry feedback to reduction of procurement acquisition lead time, we provide a streamlined approach to acquisition.
The Art of Matchmaking and the Power of Differentiation:
Stephanie Alexander and Katie Bilek are the matchmakers at Govmates where they blend art and algorithm to connect customers and companies. In this podcast interview with Senior Staff Writer Ross Wilkers, they share the perspective they’ve gained from their unique perch in the market, including views on non-traditional players, small business challenges and what differentiation really means.
We believe in transparency and accountability. We serve as an honest intermediary with the broadest reach of all consortia in the government contracting industry. Furthermore, we have no interest nor equity stake in companies or technologies – our sole purpose is to facilitate matches for the government customer in support of the mission.
The key to sustainable technology transition is providing those emerging and innovative businesses an ecosystem of resources, advisors and teaming partners to support the needs of growing companies.
We firmly believe innovation already exists within the government contracting community – we simply need to be equitable in the pursuit of modernization and engage our existing non-traditionals beyond the boundaries of the FAR.
